Delta Dental Coverage Availability & Fees
Choosing an in-network Delta Dental dentist for your child is one of the best decisions you can make. Not only will you save on their regular and restorative dental needs, but you’ll also feel more confident that the quality of their care is not being sacrificed just because it can be delivered at a lower price.
In-network dentists like Dr. Paulson are dedicated to providing exceptional service to young patients and using the best dental technology on the market.
Although each Delta Dental plan is different, many share a similar benefits structure – the 100-80-50 format. This makes it easy to remember how much coverage you can expect to receive for your child’s dental needs and is likely to look something like this:
- 100% preventive services covered (i.e., dental exams and cleanings)
- 80% basic services covered (i.e., dental fillings, tooth extractions)
- 50% major services covered (i.e., stainless steel crowns, tooth replacements)
Since we do provide orthodontic treatment for our patients, you may need to look at your policy to determine if orthodontia is a covered form of care. Many plans do not offer it; however, you can purchase a supplemental plan if necessary.
Before you can expect Delta Dental to begin paying more for your child’s treatment, though, you will need to meet your deductible. This is usually quite low. Once you do, the bill will be partially covered for any of your child’s restorative dental needs. Your insurance company will consider the available amount left as part of your annual maximum when determining how much they will pay.
