Meet Casper’s Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Roy E. Paulson
Dr. Paulson has been a board-certified pediatric dentist for over 37 years. He attended Northeast Louisiana State University for his undergraduate degree before pursuing his Doctor of Dental Surgery at Louisiana State University. He also served a residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Before moving to Casper in 1986, Dr. Paulson served as the Chief of Staff of dental services at the Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock.
Casper is Dr. Paulson’s adopted hometown. He has served the community in many volunteer roles over the years, including the Give Kids a Smile Free dentistry program, the Wyoming Medicaid Dental Committee, Head Start Health Services Advisory Committee, and the Natrona County Board of Health. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Central WY, Casper Youth Baseball, Delta Dental of Wyoming, and the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra.
Dr. P (as he is affectionately referred to around CCDC) is a Southern boy by birth. He is originally from Hot Springs, Arkansas and is a huge Razorback fan. He is married with two sons, 4 stepchildren, and one grandchild (still wanting more). His hobbies outside of dentistry include baseball, golf, reading, exercising, and biking. When asked what was interesting about him, Dr. P quickly responded, “My Southern Drawl.”
